HENDUROT TROPHY is a navigation race for adventure touring motorcycles. Using GPS points and a map, each participant must complete the route while searching for photo checkpoints, riding through both asphalt and off-road sections, and gradually reaching prepared tests that will verify their riding skills and knowledge of off-road riding. The routes are planned to lead through the most beautiful roads of the region, with emphasis on making them as twisty as possible.
During the sections, time is not measured. Although a time limit is set for completing the route, it is defined in a way that takes into account road traffic regulations and the maximum permitted speed.
Tests. Along the route there are several tests, each with a different character. For example, it may include riding through a motocross track, a skills course between obstacles, or a section where the rider’s task is to ride as slowly as possible without touching the ground with their foot, etc.
Evaluation. The rider receives points for all route sections, photo checkpoints, and tests.
Successfully completing the HENDUROT TROPHY race means that the rider completes all route sections, finds the photo checkpoints, and passes all tests. A HENDUROT finisher medal is prepared for everyone who achieves this.
Motorcycle. The event is suitable for all adventure touring motorcycles with valid registration documents, mandatory insurance, and a license plate, capable of completing a daily route of 100 to 200 km (depending on the event) on asphalt roads. The motorcycle must be equipped with tires suitable for off-road riding, with at least a minimum 50/50 tread pattern. Depending on the weather, some sections of the route may be muddy and slippery. It must also be equipped with a navigation device capable of entering GPS coordinates (navigation unit or mobile device).
Mandatory rider equipment. Due to the nature of the event, which includes riding on both roads and off-road terrain, it is important to have a full-face helmet (a helmet that covers the entire head including the chin), motorcycle boots (motocross or enduro), and a back and chest protector. All other protective gear that increases rider safety is not mandatory but is recommended (knee protectors, elbow protectors, neck brace).
